Lender administration portal: Easily refine your programs options and availability for your loan officers

DPA is excited to announce the launch of the Lender Administration Portal, a new feature designed to give lender administrators greater control over the down payment assistance (DPA) programs available to their loan officers. This update streamlines the process of managing program visibility, ensuring loan officers have access to the most relevant, lender-approved options.

Key features of the update to lender administration portal:

  • Program Refinement & Customization: Lender administrators can easily refine the list of available DPA programs, tailoring options to align with their company’s guidelines.
  • Hide Non-Approved Programs: Lenders can remove programs from view that are not approved by their institution, ensuring loan officers focus only on eligible options.
  • Add Approved Programs: If a provider has not listed a lender on an approved program, the lender administrator can now manually add it, ensuring loan officers have access to all relevant opportunities.

The Lender Administration Portal helps lenders streamline the DPA selection process, improving efficiency and reducing confusion for loan officers. By customizing program availability, lenders can ensure their teams focus on approved, high-value programs that align with their lending strategy.

This enhancement reinforces DPA One’s commitment to making down payment assistance more accessible and manageable for housing professionals.

New Freddie Mac Affordable Seconds label: Simplifies the identification of compliant programs

DPA One is pleased to introduce a new feature designed to enhance the searchability and compliance of down payment assistance (DPA) programs—now available on DPA One. This update allows programs to be labeled according to whether or not they may meet Freddie Mac’s Affordable Seconds eligibility guidelines, streamlining the evaluation process for sellers and making it easier to identify compliant programs.

Key features of the Freddie Mac Affordable Seconds eligibility guidelines label:

  • Program labeling for compliance: Programs on DPA One can now be labeled to indicate whether they may meet Freddie Mac's Affordable Seconds eligibility guidelines.
  • Search functionality: Sellers can easily search for programs that comply with these guidelines, saving time and effort when evaluating DPA loans.
  • Meet basic eligibility criteria: DPA loan programs labeled as eligible must meet specific criteria, including:
    • No balloon payments, HELOC's, or negative amortization
    • No loans from an interested party, funded through a first mortgage note, and excluding any equity share arrangements

This feature offers sellers a more efficient way to identify down payment assistance programs that are most suitable for their borrower’s needs, eliminating time-consuming manual reviews. By labeling and categorizing programs that meet Freddie Mac’s guidelines, sellers can focus on the best DPA loan products for their clients.

Note: While this feature enhances searchability, sellers remain responsible for ensuring that any down payment assistance program complies with Freddie Mac’s requirements.
